Maternal/Child Nursing focuses on the nursing needs of individuals as they relate to childbearing and children. Students will utilize critical thinking skills through the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement to implement preventative, supportive, and therapeutic plans of care. There is an emphasis on the physiological, cultural, and developmental needs of the clients. There is a clinical component to this course. PREREQUISITE: NURS 250, NURS 255, NURS 260
