Mental Health Nursing Across the Lifespan focuses on nursing care of the client with mental health and psychiatric disorders. Emphasis is on the use of critical thinking skills, with attention on a holistic understanding of the cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the individual and family. Application of the nursing process, evidence-based practice, quality improvement initiatives and the art of caring behaviors are integrated throughout the course. There is a clinical component to this course. PREREQUISITE: NURS 250, NURS 255, NURS 260
