The Practicum is the capstone course for the program. This faculty and preceptor guided practicum experience focuses on providing students with the opportunity to comprehensively apply and integrate synthesized theoretical and clinical experiences from previous nursing courses into a capstone experience. This course is designed to prepare students for professional nursing while demonstrating an ability to achieve all program student learning outcomes to the care of diverse patient populations. The nursing process, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives are applied while emphasizing patient-centered care
