This course provides an introduction to the core principles of building construction, covering the materials and methods used in the creation of our modern built environments . Students will gain an understanding of the steps involved in planning, preparation and assembly of buildings including each of the various components and how they go together to form a complete structure. Emphasis will be placed on topics that are critical to ensure accurate and functional planning and design processes.
