This course introduces the fundamental principles and applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with a focus on practical skills using modern GIS software applications. Students will learn to manipulate and analyze tabular and geographic data, develop spatial models, and create accurate, visually compelling maps. The course emphasizes both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience, equipping students with the tools to effectively represent and communicate geographic information through modern mapping techniques.
