This course provides practical application and hands-on learning in basic dental assisting skills, including team and patient positioning, operatory light adjustment, instrument identification and transfer, preparation of dental anesthetic, HVE and air/water use. Emphasis is placed on four handed restorative dentistry, Pediatric and Orthodontic specialties, assembly of instrumentations for restorative and specialty procedures, placement of rubber dams, handpiece identification, preparation, and bur and tooth identification.
