Description

The goal of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of the underlying principles of hydrology. In addition to an introduction to surface water hydrology, this course also will introduce the student to the basic concepts of ground water hydrology. Other topics that will be explored in some detail will include :(1) the hydrologic cycle, (2) dams, (3) Federal water agencies and their responsibilities, (4) an introduction to drinking water and waster water treatment, (5) water-use conflict, and (6) emerging water issues.
