Description

This course provides training in the use of parametric modeling software to generate part geometry, shop drawings, and bills of materials for mechanical parts and assemblies. Design intent and strategies for using software to streamline work planning in the machine shop, as well as introducing the use of CAM software to generate tool paths for CNC Machining are some of the topics covered. PREREQUISITE: MACH125. GRADE REQUIREMENT: A MINIMUM GRADE OF "C" MUST BE EARNED IN THIS COURSE TO BE ELIGIBLE TO GRADUATE FROM THE PRECISION MACHINING PROGRAM AND TO PROGRESS TO COURSES THAT REQUIRE THIS COURSE AS A PREREQUISITE.
