Description

This course covers the basic theory and principles of the immune system including antigens, antibodies, origin, stimulation, and body response and rejection. Immunoglobulins, complement, and classification of immunity will be presented. Serological techniques and procedures will be performed. PREQUISITES: MATH101, HC114, PH104, PH125, PH131, AND PH132. GRADE REQUIREMENT: A MINIMUM GRADE OF C MUST BE EARNED IN THIS COURSE TO BE ELIGIBLE TO GRADUATE FROM THE MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN PROGRAM AND PROGRESS TO MLT CLINICAL PRACTICUM.
