Description
This course will cover basic laboratory instrumentation, math, standarization, pipetting, laboratory glassware, methodologies of chemistry testing, safety in laboratory, and quality control concepts. It will introduce advanced clinical chemistry theory, organ functions, and disease correlations. PREQUISITE: MATH 101, HC114, PH104, PH125, PH 165, PH131, PH132, CHEM 106, CHEM 106L, AND MLT205. GRADE REQUIREMENT: A MINIMUM GRADE OF C MUST BE EARNED IN THIS COURSE TO BE ELIGIBLE TO GRADUATE FROM THE MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN PROGRAM AND PROGRESS TO MLT CLINICAL PRACTICUM.
