Medical Surgical Nursing Across the Lifespan focuses on nursing care of the client in the acute care setting. Emphasis is on the use of critical thinking skills, placing attention on a holistic understanding of the cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the individual and family. Application of the nursing process, evidence-based practice, quality improvement initiatives and the art of caring behaviors are integrated throughout the course. There is a clinical component to this course.
