This course is an introduction to surgical technology in lab and clinical settings. Students will learn and apply the principles of aseptic technique, care of the perioperative patient, duties of the circulator, and principles of safety as they apply to the perioperative environment. Students will learn basic surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
