Fall 2024-2025 WDT Foundation Scholarships Application
Complete this application to apply for scholarships from Western Dakota Tech (WDT) Foundation. In-progress applications DO NOT SAVE. You will start over with a new application if you close the window before completing the application. Therefore, we recommend you work on essays in a word processing software, e.g., Microsoft Word. Then, copy & paste your essays into the scholarship application. You can preview the essay questions before submitting the application.
A WDTC student ID number is required to submit a WDT Foundation Scholarship application. You will receive a student ID number after applying to the college. Apply to the college at https://www.wdt.edu/apply/.
The scholarship application deadline is March 31, 2024, by 11:59 p.m.

Some scholarships may give preference to students with certain qualifications. Please answer the following inquiries:
1. Were you ever in Foster Care or utilize Abbott House services?
2. Does your household use Montana-Dakota Utilities services?
3. Do you have a Native American Tribal Identification Card?
4. Are you a Veteran or spouse/dependent/widow/widower of a Veteran?
5. Are you planning to work while attending college?
Please tell us why in detail you chose your career field as your professional vocation and how you plan to contribute to this career field?
You can include hobbies, job experiences, inspiring people, life experiences, and prior knowledge you have about your career field to help explain your reasoning. (approx. 500 - 700 words).
Describe a challenge you have faced, the steps you completed to overcome it, and how you will apply what you learned from the challenge going forward.
You can draw from experiences such as a conflict with a classmate or co-worker, a personal life experience, or a time you struggled to learn something new. Include any interactions you had with others or other leadership skills you used to help arrive at a resolution. (approx. 500 - 700 words)
